Samespace Tribe
2023 | Product Design Intern
I joined samespace as an intern to help create the mobile experience for tribe and draft a product web page
Key Goals
I entered the team when the web product was ready to be shipped. I was tasked with creating a UI for the mobile version of the app.
Maintain the same feel and experience
Cohesive position and alignment
Adehere to iOS standards for natural UX
Problem
The main challenge we faced was creating an experience which allowed a seamless transition between the web product and the mobile product.
NAV BAR IDEATION
It was a challenge to have all elements in a condensed version but iteration seemed to help.
It brought me to a concrete idea which maintained feel from the web product while providing a strong base for the rest of the screens.

WIREFrames
Setting the nav bars allowed me to dive into lo-fi wireframes for the app and get started on the overall structure
ROADBLOCK
A core idea of the web layout was to have everything you need, available at a glance. This was harder to achieve on a mobile with considerably less real estate.
One of the main problems was using the app while being on a wave(call). I decided to approach this with a floating bar
Hi fi development
After finalizing essential components, I finished up the hi-fidelity wireframes through continuous iteration and rethinking.
inspiration
Around the time I was at samespace, apple had recently announced iOS 17 which had a distinct page in messages that I really liked.
I thought it would be a good way to display status, making it visible and accessible.

Website Design
My final task was to draft a product website for tribe while keeping in mind some key points.
